The Sombrero Galaxy, also known as Messier 104, is one of the largest galaxies in the Virgo Cluster. While optical telescopes see a dark dust lane, the Spitzer Space Telescope captured its infrared glow. This image shows the brilliant light from that dust, normally hidden, in false-color.
