COSMIC MESSAGE
Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF), discovered earlier this year, is now visible in the predawn sky in Corona Borealis. While still too dim for the unaided eye, telescopes reveal its distinct features. This image shows the comet's green coma, a broad dust tail, and a fainter, longer ion tail. It is a long-period comet, meaning it takes a very long time to orbit the Sun.
