Early this month, Jupiter and Venus appeared to converge in the night sky. At their closest, the two brightest planets were separated by only about the angular width of the full moon. This spectacle occurred just after sunset and was seen and photographed worldwide. This image was taken near the time of closest approach from Wiltingen, Germany.
