Shackleton crater, at the Moon's south pole, has peaks along its rim in sunlight, but its floor is in permanent shadow. This image of the shadowed rim wall and floor was captured by NASA's ShadowCam. ShadowCam is an instrument on the Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter (KPLO), designed to be 200 times more sensitive than other lunar cameras.
