COSMIC MESSAGE
The Veil Nebula is a thousand light-year-old supernova remnant, a star's exploded remains. This part, Fleming's Triangular Wisp, is a long ripple of glowing gas, seen nearly edge-on. It sits in the constellation Cygnus, about 2,400 light-years from Earth. The light from the original explosion reached Earth over 5,000 years ago.
