COSMIC MESSAGE
Comet C/2021 A1, also known as Comet Leonard, was discovered as a faint smudge in January 2021. Its orbit will bring it into the inner Solar System, passing near Earth and Venus in December, before it loops around the Sun in January 2022. Although comets are difficult to predict, some estimates suggest Comet Leonard may become visible to the unaided eye in December.
