IC 342: Hidden Galaxy in Camelopardalis
NASA APOD · Steve Cannistra
COSMIC MESSAGE
IC 342 is similar in size to other large, bright spiral galaxies near us. It is about 10 million light-years away in the constellation Camelopardalis. This sprawling galaxy is hidden from clear view by stars, gas, and dust in our own Milky Way. Its light is dimmed and reddened by these cosmic clouds.
