On December 5, 2022, the uncrewed Orion spacecraft captured this view as it approached a return flyby of the Moon. Beyond one of Orion's solar arrays lies the dark, smooth terrain of Oceanus Procellarum, the Ocean of Storms. This is the largest of the Moon's lava-flooded maria, with the lunar terminator visible along the left side of the frame.
