Seven Dusty Sisters

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

This is the famous Pleiades star cluster, also known as M45 or the Seven Sisters, but seen in infrared light. In this view, the surrounding dust outshines the cluster's iconic blue stars. The image uses three infrared colors mapped to visual colors, captured by NASA's Wide Field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) spacecraft. The Pleiades is by chance passing through a dust cloud, which is illuminated by the cluster's stars.
