The night sky over Lindis Pass, New Zealand, offered a surprising display of aurora. This single exposure captured pervasive red and green picket-fence aurora, a red SAR arc, and a STEVE. These phenomena outshone the Milky Way's center and its satellite galaxies, the LMC and SMC. A meteor and the Moon also contributed to this dynamic celestial event.
