COSMIC MESSAGE
The Medusa Nebula, also known as Abell 21, is an old planetary nebula in the constellation Gemini. Its popular name comes from its braided, serpentine filaments of glowing gas. This nebula is about 1,500 light-years away. It represents a late stage in the life of a low-mass star, as it transforms into a white dwarf.
