This striking image of the Moon on top of a skyscraper required careful planning by the astrophotographer. The single image was taken in the early morning hours of November 19. It shows the Moon near the peak of a partial lunar eclipse, as it passed through Earth's shadow. At this time, 99.1 percent of the Moon's area was in the shadow.
