COSMIC MESSAGE
The Heart Nebula, cataloged as IC 1805, glows brightly in red light from hydrogen, but this image also shows sulfur in yellow and oxygen in blue. Young stars in the open cluster Melotte 15 excite the gas and erode dust pillars. The nebula is about 7,500 light-years away in the constellation Cassiopeia.
