Afterimage Sunset

This filtered and manipulated image captures a sunset behind a church bell tower in Ragusa, Sicily. The bizarre colors are an optical illusion, but you can experience a more natural view. Stare at the dark sunspot group near the bottom of the blue solar disk for about 30 seconds, then look away to see the afterimage.
