COSMIC MESSAGE
The Geminid meteor shower happens each December, with meteors appearing to radiate from the constellation Gemini. These sand-sized bits of debris come from the asteroid 3200 Phaethon. The asteroid follows a defined orbit around the Sun, and when Earth passes through that part of its orbit, we see the meteors.
