The Running Man Nebula, Sharpless 279, is a star-forming region in Orion's Sword. It is located just north of the famous Orion Nebula. The nebula gets its name from the shape of its dust clouds, which appear to form running legs. The blue hues come from starlight reflecting off intricate dust within the nebula.
