IC 4592: The Blue Horsehead Reflection Nebula
This is not the famous Horsehead Nebula, but a fainter reflection nebula known as IC 4592, about 400 light-years away in Scorpius. The fine dust within the nebula reflects the blue light of a nearby energetic star, creating the familiar shape. Deep imaging reveals the intricate structure of this cosmic cloud.
