NGC 205 is a dwarf elliptical galaxy in our Local Group, a collection of about 25 galaxies that includes the Milky Way. It is a satellite galaxy of the Andromeda Galaxy, M31. You can sometimes spot NGC 205 in photographs, appearing as a small smudge to the south of M31's core.
