Sagittarius and the Central Milky Way

NASA APOD · Dave Palmer
COSMIC MESSAGE

Looking towards the constellation Sagittarius, we see the dust lanes and star clouds that obscure the center of our Milky Way Galaxy. Thick dust prevents us from seeing the galactic core in visible light. However, this region reveals many other wonders, including dense star fields.
