Omega Centauri is the largest known globular cluster in our galaxy, containing over a million stars. The image on the left shows it in visible light, revealing many of its stars. The image on the right, taken by the Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope, highlights different, hotter, blue stars that are less numerous but stand out in ultraviolet light.
