COSMIC MESSAGE
Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan, ATLAS) is a new visitor from the distant Oort cloud. It reached its closest point to the Sun in late September and will pass closest to Earth in mid-October. This image, taken as the comet rose before dawn, shows its bright coma and a long, developing tail. Comets like A3 carry pristine material from the early Solar System.
