COSMIC MESSAGE
Jupiter's auroras are enormous, thousands of times brighter than any on Earth. The Hubble Space Telescope imaged these light displays in great detail. These auroras are connected to Jupiter's volcanic moon Io. Particles from Io's volcanoes become ionized, get trapped in Jupiter's magnetic field, and rain down onto the gas giant, creating these spectacular lights.
