The Deep Field Credit:

This is the Hubble Deep Field, humanity's most distant optical view of the universe. The image, captured by the Hubble Space Telescope, shows thousands of galaxies, some as faint as 30th magnitude. These dim, distant galaxies represent the universe as it looked less than a billion years after the Big Bang. It offers a direct look at the early cosmos and galaxy formation.
