COSMIC MESSAGE
Neptune, the outermost gas giant, is 30 times farther from the Sun than Earth. Despite receiving little sunlight, Voyager 2 found surprising activity during its 1989 flyby. The spacecraft recorded strong radio emissions, zonal cloud bands, and storm systems with winds up to 1,500 miles per hour. This dim, distant world proved to be much more dynamic than expected.
