COSMIC MESSAGE
This is Europe at night, a composite of over 200 images taken by satellites. The lights show the density of human habitation, tracing out cities and major transportation routes. The USAF Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) captured these images. These satellites help us understand weather patterns and also provide a unique view of our planet.
