Apollo 17's Lunar Rover

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

In December 1972, Apollo 17 astronauts Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt explored the Moon's Taurus-Littrow valley. They were the last humans to walk or ride on the Moon, aided by a Lunar Roving Vehicle. This skeletal-looking rover was just over ten feet long and six feet wide. It easily carried astronauts, equipment, and rock samples in the Moon's low gravity.
