In March 1998, a stony meteorite fell in Monahans, Texas, containing a surprising find. Scientists discovered salt crystals on its surface, turned blue by space radiation. Inside these blue crystals were small droplets of water, the first time liquid water was found in an extraterrestrial object. This discovery offers clues about water's origins in our solar system.
