Newborn stars are hidden within the heart of the Orion Nebula, obscured by the dense dust and gas of the Orion Molecular Cloud 1. The Hubble Space Telescope's NICMOS camera, sensitive to infrared wavelengths, can penetrate these clouds. It reveals infant star clusters and glowing dust energized by their intense starlight, appearing as yellowish-orange in this false-color image.
