Earth's North Magnetic Pole

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

A magnetic compass does not point to Earth's true North Pole, but rather to its North Magnetic Pole. This pole is currently located in northern Canada. It wanders daily in an elliptical path and moves northward by over forty meters each day on average. Evidence shows it has wandered extensively over Earth's surface in the planet's 4.5 billion-year history.
