NASA APOD · Till Credner, Sven Kohle (Bonn University), Hoher List Observatory
COSMIC MESSAGE

Globular cluster M10 is home to stars at various stages of their lives. The reddish-orange stars in this image are red giants, having exhausted the hydrogen fuel in their cores. They are now burning hydrogen in a shell around the core, causing them to expand and cool.
