COSMIC MESSAGE
Galaxies are made of stars, but not all stars are in galaxies. This image shows an artist's conception of a sky from a planet orbiting a star adrift in intergalactic space. Researchers using the Hubble Space Telescope found about 600 such red giant stars in the Virgo Cluster, far from any galaxy.
