COSMIC MESSAGE
This expanse of gas and dust is called the Seagull Nebula. The three-panel mosaic, created with narrowband data, covers 2.5 degrees across the plane of the Milky Way. It is near the star Sirius in Canis Major, and is likely part of a larger shell structure from supernova explosions.
