COSMIC MESSAGE

The Andromeda Galaxy, M31, is the most distant object visible to the unaided eye. It is about two and a half million light-years away, in the constellation Andromeda. This immense spiral galaxy spans over 200,000 light-years. Telescopic images reveal its bright yellow nucleus, dark dust lanes, and spiral arms dotted with blue star clusters and red nebulae.
