Lunar Module at Taurus-Littrow

NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

The Hubble Space Telescope, with its 2.4-meter mirror, cannot resolve objects as small as the Apollo lunar modules on the Moon. At the Moon's distance of 400,000 kilometers, the smallest object Hubble can resolve is about 80 meters across. The lunar modules, only a few meters wide, are too small for even Hubble's sharp vision. Imaging them would require a telescope over ten times Hubble's size, or a much closer vantage point.
