The new Swedish 1-meter Solar Telescope, located in the Canary Islands, provides detailed images of the Sun's surface, showing features less than 100 kilometers across. When aimed at the Sun's edge, these images reveal three-dimensional information, including light-bridges rising nearly 500 kilometers above sunspot floors.
