COSMIC MESSAGE
On January 5, 2003, Saturn's moon Titan passed in front of the Crab Nebula, a supernova remnant 7,000 light-years away. The Chandra X-ray Observatory recorded the event, observing Titan's shadow as it blocked cosmic X-rays from the nebula. This rare transit allowed astronomers to study both Titan's atmosphere and the X-ray emission from the Crab Nebula.
