COSMIC MESSAGE
This image from the Cassini spacecraft shows Saturn's rings nearly filling the camera's field of view. The ring system spans about 270,000 kilometers from tip to tip. The large, easily visible gap in the rings is known as the Cassini Division, named after its discoverer. Cassini captured this view as it approached Saturn after a seven-year journey.
