NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

Within the Pleiades star cluster, a star's light is slowly destroying this wandering cloud of gas and dust. The star Merope sits just off the upper left of this Hubble Space Telescope image. The cloud, known as IC 349, has moved so close to Merope in the last 100,000 years that the star's light is having a dramatic effect.
