NASA APOD
COSMIC MESSAGE

I Zwicky 18 is a dwarf galaxy where the first stars formed only about 500 million years ago, making it one of the youngest known galaxies. This Hubble Space Telescope image shows bright knots, which are its two main star-forming regions. These regions are embedded in expanding filaments of glowing interstellar gas. Our Milky Way is about 12 billion years old, in comparison.
