COSMIC MESSAGE
Last Sunday morning, the northern lights appeared over Iowa, a rare sight for the midwestern USA. This aurora was caused by a coronal mass ejection from the Sun, which sent energetic particles colliding with Earth's magnetosphere. Photographer Stan Richard captured this display.
