Orion Nebula: The Hubble View

COSMIC MESSAGE

The Orion Nebula, also known as M42, is a cosmic vista that excites the imagination. Its glowing gas surrounds hot, young stars at the edge of a massive interstellar molecular cloud. Located only 1,500 light-years away, it is the nearest large star-forming region. Its energetic stars have cleared away obscuring gas and dust, giving us a clear view of star birth.
