COSMIC MESSAGE

A new rock slab is growing at over one meter a day on Mt. St. Helens, extending about 100 meters from one of its craters. A helicopter examined the steaming hot slab last month. Mt. St. Helens has been in a serene eruptive phase since September 2004, following its spectacular 1980 eruption.
