COSMIC MESSAGE
NGC 6188 is a region of young blue stars, hot red gas, and cool dark dust. It is 4,000 light years away in our galaxy, home to the Ara OB1 association. This group of bright young stars forms the open cluster NGC 6193. The stars are so bright that their blue light reflects off interstellar dust, creating the diffuse blue glow in the photograph.
