NGC 5866 is a lenticular galaxy seen perfectly edge-on from our perspective. Many disk galaxies are this thin, but we don't always see them this way. It has complex dust lanes, appearing dark and red, and a blue disk of young stars. This galaxy is in the constellation Draco.
