Even with a bright, almost full Moon, the Perseid meteor shower can offer sights. While many fainter meteors are masked, skygazing before moonrise can reveal spectacular earthgrazing meteors. Northern Hemisphere watchers can still catch these dust trails from Comet Swift-Tuttle.
