Supernova Remnant E0102 from Hubble

The blue wisp is the remnant of a supernova explosion, E0102, captured by the Hubble Space Telescope. It lies in the Small Magellanic Cloud, a dwarf galaxy neighboring our own. The larger pink structure is part of N76, a star-forming region about 50 light-years from the supernova remnant.
