NASA APOD · Dan Kowall (Photonhunter.com)
COSMIC MESSAGE

NGC 2174 is a lesser-known sight in the nebula-rich constellation Orion. This glowing cosmic cloud surrounds loose clusters of young stars, about 6,400 light-years distant. This stunning narrow-band image uses false-color mapping, showing hydrogen emission in green hues and emphasizing sulfur emission. It covers an area larger than the full Moon on the sky.
