COSMIC MESSAGE
On January 25th, the first quarter Moon illuminated the snow-covered peaks of Iran's Alborz Mountains. The night sky above is filled with stars, including the bright yellow-tinged Betelgeuse in Orion and Sirius, the brightest star in Earth's night sky, in Canis Major. The faint glow in the foreground is light from cars traveling along the Haraz valley highway.
