The Opportunity rover on Mars captured its own shadow while looking into Endurance Crater. This robotic explorer, along with its twin Spirit, has been studying the Red Planet since 2004. They have found significant evidence of ancient water, sending back detailed images of the Martian landscape. In this photo, two of Opportunity's wheels are visible.
