M95 is a barred spiral galaxy with sprawling spiral arms, dark dust lanes, and a diffuse glow from billions of stars. Visible in this image from the CFHT telescope, it also features a short bar across its center. Astronomers are intrigued by the circumnuclear ring around the galaxy's core.
